Why I like this book:
Wow! What a concept! So simple. So clear. So meaningful.

It really is more of a concept book than a narrative story. Three categories of “colors.” Each with a noted characteristic. All going about their lives. Until someone declares superiority…

I liked this book before I even saw it, just from the concept I’d read about in a few reviews. I bought it sight unseen. (I almost never do that.) When I got it in my hands, I liked it even more. And then, I listened to Matthew Winner’s “The Children’s Book Podcast” conversation with Arree Chung and learned that in my haste to read (and reread) I’d enjoyed the basics but had missed some great stuff in the illustrations…
So take a read, and a look. A good loooooooong read with a good looooooooong look on each page. (and don’t miss the reflection puddles!)
I hope it makes you smile like it did me!
